The Conference
Morning Keynote - Building Authentic Friendships Brian Butler Friendships can be complicated these days. Scripture says that he who finds a good friend finds a treasure, so it is time to go back to basics and learn to be true friends. Learn how to break out of the shallow end of the pool and dive into deeper, more mature relationships that help you and others to become better young men and women of God. Boys Afternoon Keynote - Love, Sex and Relationships Brian Butler Our desires are real. Our relationships are confusing. Find out how being created in God's image and likeness sheds light on the gift of our sexuality and the power of our call to love. Using real-life stories, Scripture, and the insights of St. John Paul II, this talk outlines the call to chastity and offers hope for living a radical life of authentic love. Girls Afternoon Talk - Social Media and Virtue The Culture Project Missionaries With the advent of modern technology, smart phones, and social media our world has changed forever. How do we navigate this new social landscape that no generation has had to navigate before? This presentation will engage students in a dialogue about how to integrate virtue and excellence into their use of Social Media. How does our use of social media contribute to or endanger our personal happiness, our relationships and the type of person we ultimately become? What are the benefits to using social media? How do we avoid its biggest downfalls, such as isolation, cyber-bullying and sexting?
